Shades Valley Parents,

The Children’s Ministry Team has met 4 times in 3 months and we have some exciting developments to share with you! After 2 meetings of gathering feedback and casting vision, the team began crafting a rhythm for children’s ministry and researching new possibilities for curriculum. Area churches were contacted, curriculum specialists were consulted and samples were reviewed in an effort to identify a curriculum that would meet our needs as a church and energize our children.
After much thought and prayer, the Children’s Ministry Team chose FaithWeaver by Group. The content and expense of Faithweaver was presented to SLT on June 10 and was unanimously approved! The curriculum has now been purchased and is on the way! Here are a few of the reasons the Children’s Ministry Team is excited about Faithweaver:

· Every child from 2 years old-6th grade will be learning about the same Bible story and
“Key point” each week
· FaithWeaver will take our children through the entire Bible in 3 years
· FaithWeaver makes it easy to communicate with our parents and congregation as a
whole regarding what our children are learning
· FaithWeaver is teacher-friendly.

In addition to the new curriculum, we are planning some colorful improvements in the classrooms and have some fun activities on the calendar for the fall. Please make a note of the following dates and consider getting yourself and your children involved in SVCC Children’s Ministry!
